Theater Thursdays In-Person
Theater Thursdays are back! Enjoy a movie and some popcorn in our upstairs meeting room.
Theater Thursdays are on the Third Thursday of the month at 1 PM. Exceptions will apply in the event of a library closure.
Today's showing is The Truman Show (1998) starring Jim Carey and Ed Harris. This movie is rated PG.
The film depicts the story of Truman Burbank (played by Jim Carrey), a man who is unaware that he is living his entire life on a colossal soundstage, and that it is being filmed and broadcast as a reality television show that has a huge international following. All of his friends, family, and members of his community are paid actors whose job it is to sustain the illusion and keep Truman unaware of the false world he inhabits.
