The Probate Process: What Is It? And Why Do We Need It?

The Probate Process: What Is It? And Why Do We Need It? In-Person

So, your duty as executor has kicked in, and now you are responsible for navigating the probate process and administering an estate…where do you even begin?

Come learn from Attorney Jeff Rivard of Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri, who will walk you through the ins and outs of Connecticut’s probate process, including the steps needed to be taken to administer an estate, the differences between small and large estates, and explain the roles and responsibilities of both the Probate Court and an executor.

Attorney Rivard will also discuss who takes charge of a Will after someone dies, what happens if someone dies without a Will, how to avoid a lengthy probate process, and how tools such as a living trust can help avoid probate. And finally, you’ll learn about some of the potential pitfalls in the probate process and how careful planning can prevent them.

Attorney Jeff Rivard will run this program. His bio can be found through the link here.
