Homeschool Program - Mary Shelley: Part 1 In-Person
Join us for the first in our brand-new Homeschool Program series—an engaging and educational program designed especially for homeschool students aged 9 to 13!
In this two-part literary adventure, students will step into a classroom-style setting with Mr. Ryan to explore the fascinating life of Mary Shelley—the master of literature and the mother of modern horror. In Part 1, Mr. Ryan will guide students through Shelley’s world, uncovering the history behind her groundbreaking novel Frankenstein, and the lasting impact she’s had on literature and popular culture.
After the lesson, students will tap into their own creativity by brainstorming and beginning to write their very own horror stories, inspired by their own fears, and the gothic themes Mary Shelley made famous.
In Part 2 (held the following week), students will be invited to share their original horror tales with their peers in a supportive and fun classroom environment.
Whether your child is a budding writer or simply curious about classic literature, this program offers a unique blend of history, storytelling, and creativity that’s sure to inspire!
