Tataki Zome - Flower Pounding Art Workshop In-Person
Discover the ancient Japanese art of tataki zome — a technique that uses the natural pigments found in fresh flowers and leaves to create stunning botanical prints directly on fabric. Using only a hammer and a few simple tools, participants will transfer the vivid colors and delicate forms of real plants onto cardstock, resulting in a one-of-a-kind decorative piece to take home.
No artistic experience is necessary. This hands-on workshop is perfect for nature lovers, craft enthusiasts, and anyone curious about natural dyes and textile arts.
All supplies will be provided. You are welcome to bring flowers from your garden.
