DESCRIPTION:This program was originally scheduled for August 6th. If you 
 registered for the original date\, your registration will automatically 
 carry over to the new date\, so there's no need to register again.\n\nDog 
 owners are becoming increasingly interested in the genetic makeup of their 
 furry family members. As the popularity of Canine DNA testing grows and the 
 trend of “Breed Reveal Parties” takes hold\, the need for a general 
 understanding of dog evolution and genetics grows. In order for owners to 
 fully understand how their small mixed-breed dog could possibly have German 
 Shepherd in its DNA\, they need a basic understanding of canine genetics. 
 \n\nThis program will provide the skills needed to identify dog breeds 
 based on their phenotypic characteristics\, give background information on 
 canine evolution\, and provide a basic understanding of canine 
 genetics.\n\nDisclaimer: The CT Humane Society does not teach any in-person 
 programs with live animals for safety\, allergy\, distraction\, and fear 
 concerns.
